14 Days and Counting- Last Minute Needs for Planning your Wedding
June 10, 2025
Here’s a “14 Days and Counting” checklist for couples in the final stretch before the wedding. This covers all those last-minute must-dos and “oh crap, we forgot that!” moments:
🗓 2 Weeks Out: Finalize & Confirm
Confirm with all vendors (photographer, florist, DJ, officiant, caterer, etc.)
Send the final guest count to caterer and venue
Create a wedding day timeline (and send it to VIPs + vendors)
Finalize seating chart and table arrangements
Get your marriage license (check your state’s time frame!)
Confirm honeymoon bookings and pack early if you're leaving right after
Have final dress/suit fitting and pick up your attire
Print ceremony programs, menus, or signs
Check in with your wedding party (confirm outfits, arrival time, duties)
Prepare tips/envelopes for vendors (label and hand off to a trusted person)
Pack your overnight bag or suitcase for the night-of/honeymoon
Wrap any gifts (for each other, parents, wedding party)
Write your vows (if personal)
Get a manicure/pedicure
Confirm transportation (and designate a backup driver just in case)
✨ 3 Days Out: Details & Downtime
Steam or press outfits
Drop off décor or signage at the venue
Practice your first dance one more time (if you’re doing one)
Delegate day-of tasks to trusted people (don’t try to do everything!)
Charge cameras, phones, or any tech gear
Review the weather and make a rain plan if needed
💍 Night Before & Morning Of
Have a light rehearsal (especially if you have a wedding party)
Relax and hydrate
Lay out everything you need for the morning (rings, vows, accessories, flat lay items for your photographer)
Eat something!! (yes, even if you're nervous)
Take a few quiet moments alone or with your partner if you're doing a first look
No matter how many to-do lists you check off, the most important thing is to stay present and soak in every moment. Your wedding day isn’t just about perfection—it’s about connection, joy, and starting your next chapter together. So take a deep breath, trust the process, and remember: you’ve got this.
